RICH Thinking Hats

Six Thinking Caps (2)RICH Thinking Hats uses the principles of Edward de Bono’s well-known protocol, Six Thinking Hats, to structure objective thinking and promote the exchange of ideas around a stimulating theme. The workshop engages children in discussing an issue, question or dilemma – derived either from a story stimulus or the children’s own ideas about change. Each ‘hat’ is clearly explained and modelled and the children are encouraged to think in a formalised way, considering an issue from different viewpoints and using different speaking and listening models.

During the session, all children are involved in sharing ideas and listening to each other’s perspectives, providing a wealth of opinion, viewpoint, emotive language and creativity.
